INDICATIONS
Proscar is utilized for treating urinary problems caused by an enlarged men's prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia, BPH). It is also accustomed to lower the risk of needing surgery to deal with BPH. It could be used in combination with another medicine (doxazosin) to lower the potential risk of worsening BPH. Proscar is a steroid reductase inhibitor. It works by reducing the amount of the hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT) within the body. This makes the men's prostate smaller, which will help to alleviate urinary problems.
