Carafate is really a gastric protective. It works by forming a protective layer on the ulcer for everyone being a barrier against acid, bile salts, and enzymes inside stomach.

STORAGE
Store Carafate at room temperature, between 68 and 77 degrees (20 and 25 degrees C). Store away from heat, moisture, and lightweight. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep Carafate from the reach of children and from pets.
