INDICATIONS
Zithromax is employed for treating mild to moderate infections due to certain bacteria. It may also be used alone or to medicines to take care of or prevent certain infections in persons with advanced HIV infection. Zithromax is often a macrolide antibiotic. It slows the growth of, or sometimes kills, sensitive bacteria by reducing the creation of important proteins necessary for bacteria to survive.

Use Zithromax as directed by your doctor.

STORAGE
Store Zithromax below 86 degrees F (30 degrees C). Store faraway from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store inside the bathroom. Keep Zithromax out of the reach of children and away from pets.

All medicines could potentially cause unwanted side effects, but some folks have no, or minor, side effects.
Check using your doctor if any of these most common unwanted effects persist or become bothersome:
Diarrhea; headache; loose stools; nausea; stomach pain; upset stomach; vomiting.
Seek medical attention without delay if some of these severe unwanted effects occur:
Severe hypersensitive reactions (rash; hives; itching; breathlessness; tightness inside the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue; unusual hoarseness); bloody stools; changes in hearing or the loss of hearing; chest pain; eye or vision problems; irregular heartbeat; muscle weakness; pounding inside chest; red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin; ringing within the ears; seizure; severe diarrhea; stomach cramps/pain; trouble speaking or swallowing; yellowing of the skin or eyes.
