Dilantin is employed to manipulate seizures. It is not built to treat all kinds of seizures, plus your doctor will determine if it's the proper medication for you. Dilantin is surely an anti-epileptic drug, also referred to as an anticonvulsant. It works by scaling down impulses inside brain that create seizures.

Severe hypersensitive reactions (rash; hives; itching; lack of breath; tightness in the chest; swelling from the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); bone pain; butterfly-shaped rash about the face; clumsiness or unsteadiness; confusion; dark urine; delirium; high blood glucose levels (flushing; fruit-like breath odor; increased thirst, hunger, or urination; rapid breathing); mental or mood changes; numbness or tingling from the hands or feet; red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin; signs of infection (eg, chills, fever, sore throat); slurred speech; stomach pain; swollen lymph nodes; swollen or tender gums; tremor; unusual bruising or bleeding; unusual eye movements; unusual muscle movements; yellowing in the skin or eyes.
