INDICATIONS
Aricept is utilized for treating dementia (eg, impairment of memory, judgment, and abstract thinking; alterations in personality) in patients with Alzheimer disease. Aricept is often a cholinesterase inhibitor. It works by improving the amount of a particular substance (acetylcholine) within the brain, which may help in reducing the symptoms of dementia in patients with Alzheimer disease.
INSTRUCTIONS
Use Aricept as directed from your doctor.
Ask your health care provider questions you may have regarding how to use Aricept.
STORAGE
Store Aricept at room temperature, between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C). Store away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store within the bathroom. Keep Aricept out of your reach of children and from pets.

All medicines could cause side effects, but a majority of folks have no, or minor, negative effects.
Check with your physician if all of these most common side effects persist or become bothersome:
Abnormal dreams; diarrhea; dizziness; loss of appetite; muscle cramps; nausea; tiredness; sleep disorders; vomiting; weight-loss.
Seek medical attention right away if all of these severe unwanted effects occur:
Severe hypersensitive reactions (rash; hives; itching; lack of breath; tightness within the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); bloody or black, tarry stools; chest pain; decreased urination; depression; fainting; fever; seizures; severe dizziness or headache; shortness of breath; slow or irregular heartbeat; swelling from the hands, ankles, or feet; unusual bruising; tremor.
